Design was completed in June 2025. MVP launch is estimated for August/September 2025.

Discovery & Design

This project began as a new custom build for a client who has an established business creating after-market cruise control kits for motorcycles. These kits include mounted triggers tailor-made for each bike they’re designed for.

This app is a companion tool to the cruise control kits. The goal - create a product that gives riders tuning control over their riding experience.

The project kicked off with a discovery meeting where Pixeltree met the Veridian Cruise owner to discuss his vision, priorities, goals, and details. The discovery session led into the design phase where our designer created mockups for the main speedometer page and configuration page.

Below are some draft mockups that explored different kinds of styling to feel out the vibe and brand identity. With client feedback, we were able to narrow the focus to a minimal, bold interface optimized for quick glances and safe in-drive interaction. Considering the context of use, we made the touch points larger for improved accuracy and easy of use.

We ended up removing the cruise control toggle buttons since it wouldn’t be drive-safe and the rider already has the triggers at hand, a superior way to adjust cruise control on the go. We also removed the KPMs to reduce clutter.

Hifi mockups

After working with the client to make design decisions we landed on final versions. There wasn’t a brand identity to work with initially, essentially a red he used on his website as a starting point. From there we added a couple other colours to compliment the red; two blue tones.

We also settled on a two clean typefaces, one primarily for titles and one for all other copy.

Configuration page

The configuration page is where riders have access to tuning their cruise control settings. These are expandable/collapsable tiles and feature text fields, sliders, and toggles, depending on the nature of the setting.

The client has a separate firmware team we are working with that the app communicates with to pull and send data.
